Some examples of &abbrapo; (abbreviating apostrophe)

(Yes, I know that all apostrophes are in some sense abbreviating, or at least mark elision. We save this entity for cases in which an apostrophe-like mark is used as a generic word-ending abbreviation mark (much like the modern English use of the full stop / period), often seemingly to avoid having to provide the appropriate termination for a Latin or French word, though it is sometimes used in English as well. Placing the word in ABBR tags (with or without an @EXPAN attribute) would also serve, and conforms to the keying guidelines, but using the &abbrapo; entity goes a step further in specificity. Using it says not only that the word is abbreviated (as the ABBR tag would do), or that it appears with a terminal apostrophe (as using a plain old apostrophe would do), but captures both form and function. We normally prefer to replace ABBR with a brevigraph entity if we can, and this follows along the same lines, essentially creating an entity for an apostrophe-like polyvalent brevigraph.)
